    Day-by-Day Route Breakdown

    Day 1: HolyheadRhosneigr

    43.9 km / 27.3 mi · 479m↑ · 479m↓ · 7h 6m

A fast opening day covering the entire western coast. From Holyhead the route blasts through the dramatic RSPB South Stack reserve and around Holy Island's rugged coastline to Trearddur Bay. After crossing Four Mile Bridge to mainland Anglesey, the terrain flattens for a fast section through dunes and past RAF Valley to Rhosneigr. The mix of cliff paths, sandy beaches and quiet lanes keeps the running varied.

    Day 2: RhosneigrMenai Bridge

    53.2 km / 33.1 mi · 376m↑ · 375m↓ · 8h 12m

The longest day by distance but relatively gentle terrain. From Rhosneigr the route covers the entire south coast — Cable Bay, Church in the Sea, Aberffraw, Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn Island detour if time allows. After crossing the Malltraeth cob, fast sections through forest and farmland lead to the Menai Strait shoreline. The final stretch follows the strait past Anglesey Sea Zoo to Menai Bridge town.

    Day 3: Menai BridgeAmlwch Port

    57.9 km / 36.0 mi · 788m↑ · 784m↓ · 9h 36m

The hardest day with the most elevation and distance. From Menai Bridge the route climbs to Beaumaris, rounds Penmon Point, then tackles the undulating east coast through Mariandyrys, Red Wharf Bay, Benllech and Moelfre. The terrain becomes increasingly rugged through the Dulas estuary, past Tyllau Duon's sea caves, and along cliff tops to Amlwch Port. Expect to hike the steepest sections.

    Day 4: Amlwch PortHolyhead

    53.9 km / 33.5 mi · 477m↑ · 482m↓ · 8h 30m

The grand finale along the spectacular north coast. From Amlwch Port the path runs past Bull Bay and Porth Wen's Victorian ruins, traverses Wales's most northerly point at Dinas Gynfor, and passes the ancient petrified forest at Hen Borth. After Cemlyn Bay's nature reserve and Cemaes village, the route continues through Church Bay and along the northwest cliff tops. The final push through Penrhos Nature Reserve and along Penrhos Beach brings you back to Holyhead.
