    Day-by-Day Route Breakdown

    Day 1: AmrothCastlemartin

    47.9 km / 29.8 mi · 745m ↑ · 698m ↓ · 8h 6m

    Blast through the entire southern section in one push. From Amroth beach, run through Saundersfoot and Tenby without stopping, continue past Manorbier Castle and along limestone cliffs to Freshwater East. Push through Bosherston and past the spectacular Stack Rocks and Green Bridge of Wales to reach Castlemartin, covering almost 48 km of varied coastal terrain.

    Day 2: CastlemartinMilford Haven

    54.1 km / 33.6 mi · 638m ↑ · 684m ↓ · 8h 48m

    The longest day covering the MOD range section, around the Angle peninsula, and along the Milford Haven waterway. Navigate past West Angle Beach, through Angle village, then follow the waterway shore past Pembroke with its castle. Continue through Pembroke Dock and along the estuary to finish in Milford Haven — over 54 km of mixed terrain.

    Day 3: Milford HavenMusselwick Sands

    Follow the coast past Sandy Haven's tidal crossing and around the entire Dale peninsula. Run through the sailing village of Dale and along the dramatic Marloes coastline with views to Skomer and Skokholm islands. Pass Martin's Haven and the stunning Marloes Sands beach before reaching Musselwick Sands.

    Day 4: Musselwick SandsWhitesands Bay

    A demanding day around St Brides Bay and beyond. Run through Broad Haven and along the clifftops to Newgale's vast beach, then push through Solva and St Davids — pause briefly at Britain's smallest city. Continue around St Davids Head with its Iron Age fort to finish at Whitesands Bay, one of Wales's finest beaches.

    Day 5: Whitesands BayFishguard

    The wildest section of the coast path. Run past tiny coves along remote north Pembrokeshire coastline, through Trefin and Abercastle, then climb to Pwll Deri YHA on the clifftop. Push on around Strumble Head lighthouse and along exposed headlands before descending through Goodwick to the historic harbour town of Fishguard.

    Day 6: FishguardSt Dogmaels

    43.5 km / 27.0 mi · 959m ↑ · 967m ↓ · 7h 48m

    The final push along Pembrokeshire's most dramatic northern coastline. Run past Dinas Head with panoramic views, through Newport, then tackle the tough climb to Cemaes Head past secluded Ceibwr Bay with its spectacular folded rock formations. Continue along towering cliffs before the final descent to St Dogmaels on the Teifi estuary — your Pembrokeshire Coast Path complete in six hard days.
