    Bernese Oberland Route

Switzerland · Alps – Bernese Oberland
    Mountainous

A 100km trek through the Bernese Oberland offering close-up views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau from well-positioned mountain trails. The route passes turquoise glacier-fed lakes, crosses beneath dramatic waterfalls at Lauterbrunnen, and climbs to panoramic viewpoints above Grindelwald. Expect well-maintained Swiss mountain paths with cable car options on steeper sections. Mountain huts and valley guesthouses provide comfortable accommodation. The concentrated scenery makes this a rewarding shorter trek, though the daily ascent and descent remains significant.
