A 180km trail traversing the mountainous spine of Corsica from Calenzana in the north to Conca in the south. The route crosses exposed granite ridges, scrambles over rocky terrain, and passes glacial lakes set in dramatic cirques. The northern half is significantly more technical, with chains and fixed ropes on steep sections. Expect basic refuges, limited water sources in summer, and intense heat at lower elevations. The landscape alternates between bare rock, pine forests, and fragrant maquis scrubland. A demanding trek requiring scrambling confidence.
