Camino del Rey (Málaga GR Routes)

    Spain · Málaga
    Hilly

A 200km network of GR trails in the Málaga hinterland linking the famous Caminito del Rey gorge walkway with mountain villages, olive groves, and Mediterranean landscapes. The route passes through the dramatic El Chorro gorge, climbs to limestone ridges with coastal views, and descends through traditional Andalucían villages. Expect warm Mediterranean conditions, with hot summers and mild winters making spring and autumn ideal. The terrain varies from well-maintained paths to rocky mountain tracks. Good local food and rural accommodation throughout the villages.
