A 150km ridge trail through northern Bohemia's mountain ranges along the German border, traversing the Lusatian, Jizera, and Jizerské Mountains. The route follows forested ridges with views into both Czech and German valleys, passing sandstone rock cities, historic glassmaking towns, and mountain meadows. Expect well-maintained Czech hiking paths with distinctive coloured trail markers, mountain huts (chaty) serving Czech cuisine, and a long tradition of recreational hiking. The Czech Republic's hiking culture is deeply embedded — the trail marking system dates to the 1880s. Autumn colours in the beech forests are particularly fine.
