A 260km trail through the Numedal valley in southern Norway, connecting the coast at Larvik to the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. The route passes medieval stave churches at Rollag and Nore, waterfalls, and traditional farming communities. Expect a gradual transition from lowland forests and fields to open mountain terrain, with well-spaced huts and guesthouses. The Numedal valley is known for its cultural heritage and traditional Norwegian wooden architecture. The upper sections cross the edge of the Hardangervidda — northern Europe's largest mountain plateau — with exposed terrain and wide views.
