    St Cuthbert's Way

    Scotland/England · Scottish Borders
    Hilly

A 102km cross-border trail following in the footsteps of St Cuthbert from Melrose in the Scottish Borders to the holy island of Lindisfarne on the Northumberland coast. The route crosses the Eildon Hills with panoramic views, follows the River Tweed, traverses the rolling Cheviot foothills, and finishes with a tidal causeway crossing to Lindisfarne. Expect a mix of riverside paths, moorland tracks, and quiet country lanes through peaceful borderlands countryside. The final causeway crossing is tide-dependent and requires careful timing.
