A 300km section of the Via Dinarica Green Trail through Bosnia and Croatia's forested mountains and karst landscapes. The route passes through traditional highland villages, crosses limestone plateaus riddled with sinkholes, and follows ridges with views to the Adriatic. Expect dense beech and fir forests, occasional encounters with bears and wolves (from a safe distance), and warm hospitality in mountain huts and village guesthouses. Some sections have limited waymarking and require careful navigation. The Dinaric karst landscape creates dramatic geological features — caves, disappearing rivers, and poljes.
