A 112km trek through the heart of the Italian Dolomites from Lago di Braies to Belluno, passing beneath towering rock spires, across high alpine meadows, and through the dramatic Lagazuoi war tunnels. The route stays mostly above the treeline with views of the Tofane, Civetta, and Marmolada groups. Expect well-run rifugi (mountain huts) serving Italian cuisine, some exposed sections with fixed cables, and the distinctive pale limestone towers that make the Dolomites unique. The terrain is rocky but non-technical on the standard route.
