A 130km demanding trek through the eastern Dolomites from San Candido to Pieve di Cadore, following a wilder and less-frequented line than the more popular Alta Via routes. The trail passes through the Sesto Dolomites, the Cadini group, and the Marmarole range with their distinctive rugged limestone towers. Expect remote sections between rifugi, challenging rocky terrain, and some exposed passages. The eastern Dolomites have a different character — more austere and less visited — offering genuine mountain solitude. Good mountain experience and fitness are essential.
