A 400km trail traversing Sardinia's mountain spine from north to south through the Gennargentu massif, Supramonte gorges, and remote inland landscapes. The route passes through cork oak forests, limestone plateaus, and traditional pastoral communities where shepherding culture persists. Expect limited waymarking in places, basic accommodation in mountain villages, and a landscape that feels far removed from Sardinia's coastal tourism. The Supramonte section is particularly wild, with deep canyons and caves. Spring wildflowers are spectacular, and autumn brings mushroom foraging season.
