A 196km loop around the Beara Peninsula in counties Cork and Kerry, one of Ireland's less-visited peninsulas. The route follows mountain roads, bog tracks, and green lanes through the Caha and Slieve Miskish mountains, with views over Bantry Bay and Kenmare River. Highlights include the Healy Pass, the island of Dursey reached by cable car, and the colourful towns of Castletownbere and Eyeries. Expect rugged terrain with some road walking, fewer services than the Kerry Way, and a quieter, wilder atmosphere throughout.
