A 114km trail through the Burren karst landscape of County Clare, from Lahinch on the Atlantic coast to Corofin inland. The route crosses the Cliffs of Moher, traverses the otherworldly limestone pavements of the Burren with their unique Arctic-Alpine flora, and passes through traditional villages. Expect rocky terrain, green roads (ancient cattle tracks), and a landscape unlike anywhere else in Ireland. The Burren's geology supports rare wildflowers including orchids that bloom in spring and early summer. Doolin provides access to the Aran Islands.
