A 192km tri-border trail through the Accursed Mountains (Prokletije) linking Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro. The route crosses high passes with dramatic limestone peaks, descends to remote villages where traditional hospitality is central to the culture, and passes through alpine meadows grazed by sheep. Expect basic guesthouse accommodation with home-cooked meals, some challenging navigation, and a rapidly developing trail infrastructure. The cultural encounters — sharing raki with shepherds, staying in stone tower houses — are as memorable as the mountain scenery. A border-crossing permit is required.
