A 130km circuit through the Beaufortain Alps — a quieter corner of the French Alps between the Mont Blanc and Vanoise massifs. The route crosses alpine pastures where Beaufort cheese is still made in traditional chalets, passes glacier-fed lakes, and offers panoramic views of Mont Blanc. Expect well-maintained trails, a mix of refuges and valley guesthouses, and a strong pastoral character. The Beaufortain is known for its flower meadows and working alpine dairy farms. A rewarding circuit that combines mountain terrain with living agricultural tradition.
