A 165km circuit of the Mont Blanc massif through France, Italy, and Switzerland, crossing high passes with views of glaciers and 4000m peaks. The trail descends into distinct valleys on each side — the lush Chamonix valley, the Italian Val Ferret with its rustic charm, and the Swiss Val d'Arpette. Expect well-maintained paths, mountain refuges serving hearty meals, and a sociable international atmosphere. The passes are steep but non-technical. Snow can linger on higher cols into early July, shortening the walking season.
Based on passability window, temperature, precipitation patterns, daylight hours, and high-altitude conditions.
